As probably a few of you have seen - there is a scope base for an Omark on used guns - will that fit the Nielsen action or there a completely different type required?
At this stage my Nielsen is not drilled and tapped for scope bases.

Maybe not much help to you but I fitted a 17 MOA Barnard rail to my old Omark. The action diameters Omark to Barnard are not quite the same but the Barnard rail design lends itself to fitting to the Omark at least. I bedded my rail with a Loctite metal filling compound but normal bedding compound eg Marine Tex would have also done the job.
I had to drill and tap extra holes but the Omark is quite a softie so that wasn't a drama.
The rail is still solid as about 800 rounds on.
Might be the solution for your Nielson as well.
