.308 F standard 155gr Projectile Selection

Post by Joeyp »

Hi everyone
I’m after some information on what projectiles everyone is currently reloading with in f standard. I’m quite new to reloading and I’m interested in giving the Berger Hybrid bullets a go. Just wondering how anyone has gone using them before and there thoughts of accuracy as the distance changes, seating depth changes in accuracy etc also is there any other projectile that you have found to be a standout for them personally.

Im running 155H. Also try 155.5 fullbore. Both work really well. Tune them at long range and they will work at all distances.

Cheers thanks for the reply
Yeah I’ll give the hybrids a shot I was just a bit worried I couldn’t find much information about anyone using them. And what I did find said that the seating depth is crucial for accuracy.
Thanks

I've found the Hybrids are very inconsistent in performance between batch numbers. The 155.5 FB are brilliant between batch numbers.

Mate the Hybrids are good for the longer ranges at 010" off and a little under 3000 works well for me!

I run the 155.5 fullbores at 3010fps and the 155 hybrids at 3024fps. the hybrids like a bit more jump at 020 off the lands where the fullbores are a bit tighter at 010 off. Both will shoot x ring elevation out to 900m, but the 155.5 fullbores just seem to group a little tighter.
