Maddco Barrel

Post by Old Trev-39 »

Just recently fitted a new Maddco barrel chambered for .284W. It took about 2 weeks from order to delivery. I have never had a barrel that ran in so easy. Actually the 9 shots fired were just wasted except for getting a zero. Procedure was shoot 2 clean, shoot 2 and clean shoot 5 and clean. Each time only just the faintest trace of blue was to be seen after leaving Sweets in for a good 5 minutes. Then shot a half match with the same results on cleaning. Hope it shoots as well as it cleaned up. I do not think I will have any worries there as my other 3 Maddco's shot well. Time will tell.
Cheers,
Trevor.

Similar experience with two 6.5 Madco barrels recently. Run in basically superfluous. And they both shoot very well.
