I thought the term was Horidicular or Horidiculus if there was more than one of them. :D

I was told the owner of the rifle purchased some 223 55gn ammo , pulled the 55gn projectiles and replaced them with 80gn Sierra MK's = KABOOM.

This is not funny. The place for clowns is at the circus, not on a rifle range. I hope the matter is being investigated. A full report should be made public. If negligent and dangerous behavior was involved, perhaps a lengthy suspension.

Agree with you Mike, but you and I know that won't happen.
It is being investigated but the outcome will probably be to tap the action with a light hammer following the bolt cycling test to test it's soundness.

Let's just hope that they put a permanent ban on Chinese ammo.

Blown Rifle At Bendigo

Post by Fish »

Cant see the reason for banning Chinese ammo, anyone who pulls a 55gn projectile and replaces it with a 80gn projectile is asking for trouble, it doesn't matter what brand of ammo it is
