Reasonably significant website bug

Post by tachyon »

While offering up a quick explanation about how caching causes read posts to appear unread I noticed this

Which is literally thousands of requests running at about 30/second for an image related to the clock

This will be significantly slowing the website down as well as wasting a lot of bandwidth. Deleting the current clock widget and/or replacing it with one that is not quite so broken might be an idea.
