Can't find a safe for my long Range Rifle

Does anyone know of a 4 or 5 rifle safe that doesn't have a ammo box built into it. So it'll accommodate my 30" barrel rifles. Thanks Graham

Hi Graham,
CMI make one called Sportsman R7s that has a removable shelf.
Sizes 1510h x 600w x 410d all measurements are mm OA.
They are a great safe, I do own one as well as a custom Safe.
Recommend this product.

With almost any safe you buy that has an ammo cupboard, it is barely welded in there, just a few tacks.
A cold chisel and about 5 mins of your time and it's gone

I put a 40 mm hole saw through into the top cupboard to take the long barrel but just for one Gun.

They're definitely at the budget end of the market but Bunnings sell one that has 1280mm (50.5") under the ammo box.

I cut the ammo box out to fit my target rifles It wasn’t held in by much

a long while ago i purchased a FOX safe from paramatta.
its a 5 gun and has an ammo box.
but,my TR rifle with a long barrel and front sight fits in it [just]
it was cheaper to get one from them than it was to buy locally,and it was delivered.

I had an issue with that as well. I ended up with a lokaway lok3k. The ammo box doesn't go the full width, allowing use of the full internal height of the safe. My rifle is about 54". Good luck with the search.

Hi

Have a look at the Foxsafe "The Musket" it is around 1700mm high with no internal locker. Plenty of height for long barrels.

I cut out the bottom of safe and welded a 250mm box to bottom of ........all painted to match and lined inside......just the ticket for all the long guns

I used the holesaw method, 2.5" in the right position with some edge moulding and Bobs your uncle. no scuff marks on barrel and you get to keep the small top area for whatever!!

Just bought a Spika SDD. 2 door. My 2 rifles with 35 inch barrels fit nicely.

just take the stock off the rifle and it will fit no probem. I just have to take the cheekpiece slide off one of mine
