Hi All
Looking forward to this event, I haven’t done much shooting since South Africa.
Weather should be good and a few of the OZ team will be there as well.
If you haven’t shot bisley yet it’s quite challenging as there’s no waiting for a certain condition with a max time of 45 seconds per shot.
Should be a good comp!

Having trouble uploading pics…
Quick update
12 hardy souls are competing for bragging rights.
Bisley style shooting on manual targets with competitor marking.
Marking has been enjoyable with plenty of banter in the pits.
Weather has been good so far with stronger winds predicted for today which should make it interesting.
Hopefully get some pics up today

Day 2 is done and everyone having a good time despite some tricky conditions.
I believe in F Open, after 5 ranges, Adrian Conlon (SA), Alistair Lamour (VIC) and Stuart Braund are all on identical points, only separated by Vs.
A few were getting some 75s earlier in the day at 800 and 900ydsbut some very tricky conditions came in for the tight 1000y target.
Tomorrow is 20 shots at 1000 which in pairs firing could mean shooting for 30-40 minutes and several total direction changes. Looking forward to it.

A really enjoyable weekend. I really urge those who want to try F class how it is done outside Australia to come to one of these kind of competitions. It seems they will run these each Easter and this time of the year in Tumut, but likely a few more low key international style F class comps starting around Australia next year.

Sounds like it was a great PM and congratulations to Tumut RC for putting on such an event.
Just trying to understand why you where running with TR scoring instead of the Fclass scoring we normally see.
I do like this idea but I may have it wrong.

Hi Dave,
The scoring is as per ICFRA, our X ring is a V, our six ring is a 5 and so on, highest possible score for 15 shots is 75.15.

I usually watch mirage through the rifle scope(not a spotting scope) for changes in conditions.
At this range the mirage would be flowing at a 4min value for lower light but I was on zero…
A tricky range- over correcting was the issue sometimes- other times who knows

I shot Bisley too but not at this event. I just got back from the Euros in Bisley range UK and had a great shoot in some tricky conditions too.
Managed to scape in a 10th place in some very stiff conditions with the most of the USA Worlds team there too.
I was the lonely Australian but gave the local UK shooters a round up beating them all.
I will put this event on my calendar for next year. Well done to all that put on this event and those that shot it.

I think your wind zero was out. Or maybe you were lucky enough to shoot in all the good conditions
