Barrel length? Powder options available to you? Do you have access to a chronograph?
Re: Velocity node for Berger 200 20x's
I realise you are asking for a WSM that would probably push them 150+ fps faster than a 308 but 2730 works ok for me. Possibly you might not need a higher node.
Pic is of the monitor screen using my phone and not good quality. The last shot was blinking and can be seen near the pin if you zoom in. Five shots at 1000 yards at Belmont last week to check my elevation before he APS event. Also shot from a bipod (FTR).

Dave
Forgot to mention the target used for the comp is ICFRA1000 yard FClass target. In other words the 5 ring is the same size as our 6 ring and the V is same size as our X ring.

Thanks for replying, I would expect that there are nodes between 2800 and 2900 for the WSM, impressive 5 shootter how did you go at the APS in Belmont.

Wow very nice ! This achieved by using 2209 or 2208 ?
Cheers

Another 150fps will give you more wiggle room in the wind. About 1/2 moa at 1000 in 10mph of wind. Go for it if you can get there.
Just remember velocity is good but tighter groups are better. It your gun shoots smaller than the X ring at the range your shooting the confidence you will have in your setup is worth more than 100fps in velocity.
Results with a heavy barrel and shooting with a F-Open gun setup should be great! Keep us posted.
Had a great time at the APS and my first shoot at Belmont. Met a lot of great people and made some new friends.

Thanks Cheech. Using 2208 (45.2). It was just after 9 in the morning and conditions were mild. A bit of right to left. I was checking my elevation. We had to book 15min time slots to check our rifles.

With the 200.20Xs both powders will work. With 2209 I'd start at 59.5gr and work up in 0.3gr increments looking for pressure signs. You could end up somewhere around 61gr or maybe a touch higher. With 2213sc you could start at 64gr and work up. 2213sc could go up to 66gr but again look for pressure signs. 2213sc will allow you to push those bullets up over 2900fps easily, you should be able to hit 2940fps without fuss out of a 32" barrel.
