Been looking at ways to sight my rifle once I get it (still waiting for license ) but in the interim was interested to hear thoughts on the laser sighters.
They look like they do a very good job for a reasonable cost, just not sure which is the best or whether they are all the same.
From what a couple of friends who have tried them say, don't bother with them. You can get as accurate a result or better by bore sighting & the cost is that much more economical.
If you haven't come across that process yet, boresighting consists of holding your rifle in a fixture - your F class front rest/stand & bag will do the job admirably. Then you manipulate it so a mark at around 100 yards/metres distant can be seen centrally when looking through the barrel. Adjust the scope until the crosshairs align with that mark while checking that you haven't disturbed the alignment through the bore.
Then you drop down to the zero range at Belmont & refine the windage on the zero targets there.
