My Stiller Tac 30 223

Post by Seddo »

Hi guys,

After enjoying shooting f class for the last few years i decided it was time to pull my finger out and build a dedicated rifle, i will keep shooting my others but needed something for when i wanted to take it serious.

Stiller Tac30 223 Single Shot
Lilja SS 8 twist No8 28"
McMillan F Class stock
Jewell HVR Bottom Safety
Sightron SIII 8-32x56 MOA
Smithed by Keith Hill to his usual high standards

I took it to the range last week and put about 20 rounds through it to run in the barrel. I used the "run in" ammo to see how far i could stretch the legs so i fired them all over teh chrono and got the 80gr amax up to 3065. I cant wait to start load development and using it.

The rifle got its first run on paper over the weekend with great results. I tried loads from 23.8 to 25gr of 2206H in .01gr increments. Of the 13 loads there were 7 under 1.5" at 300y, 2 were under .9" and 1 had a verticle of less than 0.5".

It safe to say i am very happy with the work Keith has done on this rifle(and others) and would recommend him to anyone looking to build a rifle.

Seddo,

Looks awesome mate. My new McM F-Class stock looks exactly the same for my FO rifle. And it sounds like it shoots as good as it looks. Keep it up. Ive been seeing the 223 do quite well at swanbourne. They have beaten me with my FO rig at the shorts at times.
