Gday all,
Im about to take possession of a new tikka super varmint ( super varmint was the only 260 rem they had in stock) in 260 remington, that i want to use for long range target and some hunting but mainly target shooting. The scope i have is a Sightron S3 8-32x56 LRTD. The specs say it has 70 clicks of elevation and windage, now using 123gn or 140gn projectiles will this be enough elevation adjustment for 700-800 yards? Or how far would i get with that amount of adjustment? The Tikka comes with a standard picatinny rail or would i have to swap that rail for a 20moa rail to reach those distances?
Cheers,
Mick
