Picatinny rail question

Hi All,

My rifle features a sleeved Remington action, the sleeve has a Davidson dovetail
machined into the top surface with about 20 MOA of inclination.
I just fitted a Kelbly’s dovetail to picatinny adaptor, with 20 MOA of inclination,
to make it more convenient when swapping scopes from rifle to rifle.
My question is...am I adding an extra 20 MOA or just raising the dovetails existing
inclination?

Depends which way you mount it, high end to the rear you have 40 moa, high end to the front you cancel back to 0moa, it makes a very versatile setup depending on how much adjustment your scope has, 40moa is not ideal if you only have 40 to 60 moa adjustment as you may not be able to zero close, plus it’s better to use the centre of adjustment for optical performance.
