Re: NEW Bipod for FTR
Yes its probably about as wide as you would want on the mound, particularly if everyone goes that way.
Its always amused me about the lack of size limits on rests, pedestal or bipod. Bipods are effectively weight limited, and that is the only size/weight limit in the SSRs (or ICFRA rules). It would actually be legal to have front (pedestal) and rear rests weighing tonnes, and have them as tall and wide as BR bench.

Re: NEW Bipod for FTR
As FTR is in its early days here we can draw on a wealth of info from the rest of the world where it is about the only game in town. What I / we think about you can bet it's been done or thought about in the rest of the world years before.A quick look on the net and you see Bipods that are even bigger / wider again!!!Im not saying that makes them better but as long as it is within the rules.Your right Alan about the Bipods for FTR as long as it comes in with the rifle at under 8.25 KG. Some of the set ups l have seen on the net are huge they look like something that sticks out the top of a scaffolding Truck don't think l would like to have one.But if it's legal than move over on the mound and let them shoot it.I have been almost run over a few times by something resembling a 6x4 Trailer on its way to the Mound
it's all good fun..
