Replacement bolt

Post by scott/r »

Hi guys, I'm trying to find out how I go about getting a replacement bolt for a rpa quadlock action. I've got the chance of picking up a rifle with a barreled rpa action in a mastin stock. And, yes, you guessed it, it dosen't have a bolt anymore. Even if someone has a spare one with a 308 face ( yes I know I'm clutching at straws) that they are will to part with.

A good few years back now, a local had an RPA stolen by a passerby. This would be a silver octagonal RPA. Do you have the serial number, because I believe that he still has the bolt? Not sure if it was a Mastin stock though.

No I don't John, but I will certainly get it. It's currently being held at a local shop so I'll call in tomorrow and have a look.

Thanks John, I'm glad it's not the rifle in question. But it would have kind of cool to return a rifle to it's rightfull owner.

Interesting twist to this story of the sale of this rifle. After contacting James Corbet about getting a bolt for this rifle, he gave me the contact details of the guy who he built it for originally. Turns out that rifle was supposed to be in storage, not for sale. Thankfully it's all been sorted out and the rifle is being returned to it's rightfull owner after all. Thanks again James.
