Barmera Prize Meeting

Post by bjld »

G'day all

The No. 11 (Riverland) DRA Open Prize Meeting is being held at the Barmera Rifle Range next Sunday (July 3rd). There's a badge for standard and open F-class. Several shooters from my club (CTV) are going and I think a few are going from Kapunda and Murray Bridge.

It's great to see F-class being hosted by the No. 11 DRA for the first time, so it's up to us competitors to give it our support.

Regards
Ben

hi ben,
chappy told me the other day that he's pretty sure he's going to go 1 more than a back to back.
if he gets it, let's make him earn it.
regards,
bruce moulds.

Hey Ben you forgot to mention that he only dropped 2 POINTS over 3 ranges.
OUTSTANDING (Chappy)Darren Chapman KRC
That’s 3 OPM's in a row or is it 4???
For those that are not aware Darren uses an old omark action Krieger barrel sitting his own home made stock not the prettiest I have seen but shoot extremely well.
:)
Richard
P.S. Ben & Bruce I did do my best to get him boozed the night before

I'd like to thank all the F Class shooters who turned up and supported this event, I know we all had a great time, if not so great results (sorry Trev).

F Class became a 1/3 of the total numbers on the day thanks to you guys and gave support to a club with struggling membership. Hopefully if F Class can be encouraged here their numbers can improve.

Also thanks to the guys who took the time to talk to and show their setups to the interested local shooter (Mick) who came to check out what we were about.

Great effort and great PR by everyone, well done.

Now.....
How many of you can I expect to see in Broken Hill in three weeks time?

You may have done your best, but my wife made sure I was completely tanked! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

As an update on this event, I was contacted by the club earlier this week to say thankyou to the F Class shooters who entered, we made the event financially viable for them and they have had contact from a number of people interested in F Class. There is a potential for 2-4 new members for them, so thankyou to all from the Barmera club and from me.

Yes, thanks Trev, and everyone else who turned up.

We do try, when we can, to encourage other clubs and promote F Class :)

and the fact we made up 30% of the total numbers was teriffic.
MBRC F-Class standard ... and proud of it!
