Pillar material
Working on a new stock now and Im thinking about the pillars that will be used to help bed the action. The action itself is stainless. Normally, ally would be used for pillars but I have an old stainless barrel here that would work well for pillars and possibly avoid any dissimilar metal corrosion. Is it a bit much worrying about dissimilar metals touching though?

Brad go with the stainless. Do use some gasket paper on top when bedding and replace gasket after job is done. Stops vibration. David.

Im only paranoid from my years fishing in ally boats and dropping hooks down into the hull and forgetting them. Months later theres a hole in the hull and Im up for lots of corrosion repairs.

Be paranoid Brad, just don't think too hard about the material used for your action screws.
The toggle clamp on my kid's folding scooters is starting to look better each time.
