Also , because I'm a bit lax at times with setting up my magspeed chrony! My bayonet when mounted ,then checked with the square rod . Is I suppose a couple of mm between the rod and bore clearance . So it would need to come up a little to be where it should be !
Question? And maybe a dumb one ! Would this give you some at times a erratic erroneous reading like a low and high spike? Regards Graham.

Re: Magspeed Questions
I have seen similar out of normal reading when the bayonet was looses.
Maybe the magnets are having difficulty reading the bullet at this distance.
Why not just adjust it to where it should be and try again.
That will confirm the issue if its there.

Re: Magspeed Questions
Sounds like the plan! I've had good runs of velocity within 2-4 fps then a couple of crazies! Just trying to sort out and see if anyone else had seen the same ? Thanks Graham.

Re: Magspeed Questions
If the barrel was clean thats why the first shot would be low
Good luck with a second test and I hope it nails for you once its setup as per instructions
If not back to looking at your loading system

Thanks Peter , the low shot was the 12 th shot and the 1 st shot was the 2808 fps . It could be my scales or anything! I load some rounds this arvo and try them at 500 m and see if the shots are level and set up the mag speed properly ! I set the magspeed up for my Sons 308 for Muckadilla Opm and being time poor just hastily put it back to my rifle !?? So see how we go! The gun is accurate but yep 30 -40 fps spread at 1000 is bad ! If that is true!
