Barnard fit an Musgrave inletted Don Brooks Stock

Post by Wayne_tri62 »

=D> Greetings all
Quick question on action fitting. Would a Barnard Action fit easily into a Don Brooks aluminum stock, that is currently in-letted for a Musgrave Action. Current barrel is MAB 30 inche'er..
Would there be any real problems.
Thanks

Wayne,
It would not be a straight forward job as the Musgrave is a flat bottom receiver whereas the Barnard is round.
Without seeing the stock I would guess it could probably be machined out and a Barnard V Block fixed in.
Bolt handle may be in a different position relative, as with the trigger and T/D screws
