Gunsmith Recommendation

Post by Winston »

Hi Guys,

Can anyone recommend a precision smith that doesn't have a 3 month wait? I usually use Lee at Trentech, but he's flat out at the moment. I have a fairly narrow window where I can be without a rifle, only wanting a barrel fitted to my panda.

I think you'll be hard pressed to find one of the better gunsmiths without a wait and to be honest you have invested in a top shelf action and know doubt a great barrel. Are you willing to risk a second rate job just to shoot it quicker.

You can try Matt at LRP, not sure what the lead time will be.

Winston, if you do end up going with CRM I can tell you that you will undoubtedly be a very happy camper. I can say with all honesty that my experience with Shane, DaveMc and the team was second to none in produced a match winning rifle, even if the fool behind the trigger need a lot more work. I've just ordered my next chambered barrel from them and wouldn't have done that if my first experience wasn't anything less than expectation.

Good luck with it !
