BERGER 7MM 175GR XLD

Post by Wal86 »

Hi all,

Ive done some digging around at home and come across some 175gr XLD projectiles.. Ive never used these, and its my understanding that they are now discontinued by berger..
Ive done some measurements, and put them on juenke machine and they are very consistent..

Was wondering if anyone has tried these projectiles in their rifle, and if so what did they shoot like?

Cheers

Alan

I had some given to me by someone who couldn't get them to work, and I didn't do any better. Mine got used for running in barrels and fire-forming cases. Berger knew what to do with them :D .

The one box of projectiles i had i cant get that batch anymore, and the new batch are terrible so im looking at changing projectiles. Those XLD dont appeal to me at all because of the aggressive VLD shape which would be why i never used them.. You probably just saved me a headache

Thanks

I won the national in 2015 with them, and the Presidents and the Grand. Worked for me. Mind you I have not used them since, as they did mot like the 5r barrels compared to the 4 groove.
