No idea,as I haven’t shot Practical Rifle, however if you are interested in the match I would go and see what it is about, with a bit of luck you will learn something and importantly you will meet participants in the match.

If you want training in PRS style practical rifle, there are several offering training. I would make sure whoever is offering the training has a good pedigree in the sport as there seems to be more and more popping up offering training, and its very early days for some it seems like. Location might make a difference to you too, but you don't list one on your profile, at lease not that I can see.

You could try training@impactdynamics.com.au since its run by the people operating PRS in Australia.

Another is http://www.practicalrifletraining.com.au/ which is run by Scott, a regular competitor at PRS shoots in Australia.

Pretty much any rifle thats not a dedicated single shot tgt rifle, in this context almost always uses a detachable magazine system and a muzzle break. Set up to shoot various distances under time constraints over several different courses of fire during a match.
It's a exciting, dynamic and fun way to spend time on the range..
