To turn or not to turn

Neck turn I mean. Do many of you just shoot the brass as is? I’ve ordered a reasonable amount of saum brass and the efficient(read lazy) part of me doesn’t feel like neck turning. Shoulder bump with a body die and Lee collet for neck tension- in that order I guess? I will probably end up turning the...

Fixed my Farley wobbly head issue

Just had a eureka moment The plate on the bottom of my Farley has a bit of clearance in the holes. When it is tightened close to the joystick end the head wobbles very noticeably 2-3mm either side travelling up and down When tightened away from the joystick this allows the vertical slide bars to eng...

Re: 6 br additional calibre

An ideal candidate for an F Open SUB CLASS. Just made for the likes of myself who can no longer take the recoil or the $'s presented by the 7mm Magnums. 22BR / 6mmBR. Same weight & Specs as FTR, shot off a Bi - Pod. I would call it FO/FO (F Open for Old Farts) could even have its own logo style...

The last range is nearly done
Rod Davies just held an 800m clinic so the rest of us peasants can see how it’s done.

Day 3
We have just shot the first 800
It’s overcast with a couple of light brief showers
First place in open is very crowded
3 on the same score
A 15 shotter at 800 to go - a few nails being chewed at the moment

Queen’s day 1

If it stays out to sea we will be fine.
There’s barely any wind so it could be an X count comp if it stays this way.
Good luck to all shooting.

Barrel prep

Hi All Just wondering what procedure you go through prior taking the first shot off a clean barrel? One of our leading gunsmiths recommended a light patch of sweets gun oil followed by a clean patch so the first shot isn’t on a squeaky clean barrel. That’s the procedure I have followed for a lot of ...
