Lithgow OPM Sunday December 1st CANCELLED

Apologies for short notice and any inconvenience but due to the risk of a total fire ban we have decided to postpone our OPM. Thales Australia (our Landlord) has an "absolutely no shooting" policy on there outdoor ranges when a total fire ban is in place, with that in mind we could not tak...

Re: Handicapping

Lithgow has a handicap system for Saturday shoots and I think it works very well.
TR, FSA, FSB and FO all compete, very inclusive and good to see.

Re: Events with manual targets 2019

I indicated in a earlier post that the Blue Mountains DRA shoot was at Lithgow on manual targets as it has been every other year.
The DRA have decided this year it will be at Katoomba on Silver Mountain targets.

Sorry about that.

BMDRA at Lithgow

Sunday the 4th Feb the 90th BMDRA OPM at Lithgow is a pleasant way to spend a day in the Blue Mountains out of the Sydney humidity.
The usual format of 2 sighters & 10 at 2 x 500y and 1 x 600y on manual targets.

Re: Lithgow OPM

Lithgow OPM is definitely on Sunday the 3/12. The usual format of 2x500y and 1x600y, all 10 shot.
We do not have use of our Club House at the moment but our members will ensure that everything runs smoothly
both for catering and shooting.

Re: NSWRA 141st Annual Open Championships

Mike the scores certainly tell the story. There were dozens of flights cancelled at Sydney airport today because of extreme wind. "A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work", I don't think so today. Anyone who is familiar with Malabar from the south this is tough in 20kmh pl...

Re: NSWRA 141st Annual Open Championships

If you love what you do you don't take cost into the equation.
Over the past 15 years I could not add up the tens of $1000's I've spent on target shooting and don't care to either.
Just to put your $150 into perspective I have recently spent $800 on entry fees to the Canadian Nationals & FCWC.

Re: South Australian State Championships - the "Queens"

Just to state the obvious Andrew you would find that a lot of the FCWC and State team members stayed on for the main event, unfortunately I wasn't one of them.
Congratulations to all the competitors and especially the winners.

Re: Lyndhurst 2017 OPM

Very disappointing FTR turnout, one competitor.

I remember when FO struggled to find a PM to go to not too long ago through lack of participant support.

Re: Mudgee OPM and Lyndhurst OPM

Some of you might be thinking it but I'm going to say it. Mudgee was one of the few remaining Clubs that refused to accommodate F Open and I always struggled with what to do at Easter. Inverell is just to much of a drive for a prize meet from Sydney. Good on Lyndhurst for quickly picking up the ball...
