I bought the 1st edition copy early on and read it thoroughly. Did it help me ? I really don't think so. Waaay too much waffle.
The best way I reckon is to learn it while actually shooting. And the less “gun handling” u have to manage the better i.e. if your shooting ‘process’ involves excessive attention to the gun handling – or ANY other distraction – then straight away this compromises your ability to really focus on the conditions.
As soon as I decided to go totally free recoil it was a turning point for me, as if I did have a handle on the conditions but the gun handling was compromising my focus, preventing me from making good/better decisions ?
The last thing I want to do is to sound cocky but If you have a long drawn out process to get each shot away then you're in a very different position to a shooter who has the 'package' under control and can release shots quickly.
