International F/TR
How many people would be prepared to shoot F/TR internationally, and possibly shoot for Australia?

Linda we have three F Std shooters in the family at the moment but the answer would no, if either Trev or I were considering shooting internationally it would be in Open not F/TR.
My answer to JohnK's question would also be no.
I do realise you have aspirations to do so and I sincerely wish you all the very best, I hope you succeed.

FCASA say no because it is accommodated in match rifle so if you aspire to do that build F/TR spec rifle and compete with the Match rifle ppl
I think most agree that FS is a domestic discipline unique to Australia
And not internationally recognised yet I’m sure if it’s taken up by other countries this may change.
And the reverse is true as well if F/TR becomes popular we may have representation on the international stage.
Growing all F-Class disciplines should be our focus.
Actionclear there is nothing stopping F/TR spec rifle from competing at match rifle or standard NRAA events just it won’t be put into its own category at OPM’s and Queens until numbers dictate that.
Worth will discussion but a way off yet.

I was hoping more of our top F std shooters might want to make the minor, TEMPORARY changes to their rifles to represent Australia OVERSEAS.
What would they need to change.
Must shoot off a bipod, most already do that.
8.25 kg weight limit. Some might need to remove the extra weights they have put on their rifle, or maybe either rechamber a barrel 2" shorter or buy one more barrel. (Lots of F/TR shooters are using 155gn bullets so it Isnt much of an issue).
Lighter trigger weight, most F Std shooters can adjust their triggers lower if they want it.
If they want F Std in Australia, no worries, but there are a lot of our top F std shooters who could make a good Australian team overseas.
Come on, whats holding you back from having a go in 2 years time?

another go at fo?
you seem to be fixated by fo.
maybe you harbour a latent desire to do it.

I thought this post was about F std, not F Open, but why the hostility. I thought we all had the same interests?????
I will be there in F Open, shooting individualy if we cant get an 8 man/woman team together, but thought our F std team stood a good chance of getting a medal.
Probably best if we all work together??
