Same type of rifle as used by Team Savage USA.

They are only the current World Champion Long Range Rifle Team (F-T/R)

You will have to play with loads to get the most out of it, but I can't see any reason why you won't have success with this rifle.

Are you moving into F/TR from another discipline?

Or will you be using it for F-Std or Fullbore?

Agree with the loads though. Work something up to get the best out of it. You do give something up with a factory tube even if it's just something psychological.
I expect you'll do what I did with my savage. Burn the barrel out learning then put a match grade custom barrel on it to make it really hum :D

I am using a model 12 single shot savage action on a 1:10 match barrel for F/st and Match rifle. Works great! Its just the idiot on the end of it that needs refining. Just use all care when finding loads for longer ranges.

I wish I has easy access to a range with match rifle distances. That would be so cool. Good luck to you.

Generally we get on the range once a month during the season. I also have access to an old airstrip in the hills not far from here which is a huge bonus. :D
