There seem to be a few different conditions which different ranges can throw up. If you are on the RHS targets at Townsville or the LH targets at Malaba, the gullies will push the wind up or down, but these can be predicted fairly well when the wind increase in speed or changes direction. At Ranges like Gosford, if the wind increase or decreases in speed from one side or the other, you aim or click off at 45 degrees.
The ones which can be difficult to predict are ones like Belmont at 1000 yds with the high mounds, head/tail winds seem to give some big vertical changes. I don't know of anyone who seems to be able to predict these head and tail wind verticals on ranges with big, elevated mounds.
