Sent of my PTA and ordered my rifle yesterday. I have been to the range that I will be shooting at a few times. So let see how I go. Hope to get a lot of information from here.

roy,
you have my disease.
long range shooting fclass AND bpcr.
the 2 disciplines complement each other well, and are excellent cross training for each other.
I started fclass with a 223, just like you.
went to 6.5, then 7mm, and am now back experimenting with 6.5.
so much to try, and so little time and money.
bpcr guns include a 45/2.4/100, and a 40/72.
the 40 will take 84 gn powder behind a pp bullet, and can mix it with a 45 using 100 gns powder & a 540 gn pp bullet at 1000 yd.
did you know that the world long range blackpowder championships might be held in s.a. in about 3 or 4 years?
enjoy your shooting, whatever it might be.
keep safe,
bruce.

Welcome Roy,

I shoot Savages. They're a great rifle to get started with and can be very competitive.
