yet another club in sa has taken on f open for their and opens benefit.
port augusta rifle club introduced open into their very successful prize shoot last weekend.
all targets wore super v centres and were marked accordingly. this allowed fclass shooters to shoot on any target, and some shooters had to be shifted around making the logistics of the thing very smooth.
a 15 shot match on sunday was very interesting, particularly in showing how different rifles and cleaning regimes settled down from a clean barrel condition.
the super v target with the super v called x demonstrates that rifles which produce fliers need work to be done on ammo or whatever is causing them, because ther is no way a lucky centre can make up for a flier.
statistically, those who shot more sixes tended to shoot more centres.
bruce moulds.
another super v success

Super V's
Great to see others are enjoying the benefits of the Super V. I've shot it at a number of prize meetings in Vic, and it is a great decider.
It's certainly easy for the clubs to apply to the targets (unless your cross eyed), and it gives all shooters something else to aim for.
The F Std shooters have shown they can certainly match it with F Open. So it gives both camps the challenge to shoot tighter groups!
Roll on change......
