We have just been advised by the Committee of the Werribee Rifle Club about concerns they have for breaching EPA noise regulations on an 0900 start on Sunday Morning. Even though we have we have a local govt approved permit for the early kick off, it is their wish we commence an hour later at 1000 hrs.
Also the range format will change removing the 600 yard shoot and re shooting at 300 yards a second time. So effectively the course of fire for the day will be 10 shots 300, 10 shots 500, and 10 shots back at 300 to finish the day.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the lateness of this notice but the timing and changes were beyond our control...... The prizes and give aways still remain the same along with BBQ lunch and wet canteen for all. (Alcohol for shooters after completion of competition of course !!)
If you are aware of anyone attending on Sunday can you please pass this message on for their info. Hope to see you all for the first Prize Meet to be held at Werribee.

G'Day Tony & thanks for asking..
Mate as far as we're concerned the day was a great success !! The weather was our main concern but as it turned out even though overcast and the odd spit it was a dry, but cool day. We had 4 FO shooters, 3 FS A Shooters and 11 FS B shooters along with those other FullBoring Shooters a total of 38 competitiors. There would have been a larger turnout from the F shooting mob as I received a dozen emails apologising for non attendance largely due to work committments. We coppers get our weekends on a Tues, Wed, Thurs or Fri, never a Sat or Sun for obvious reasons and thats why our club shoots mid-week.
As aware we had last minute range restrictions dropped on us but we perservered & it was interesting to shoot 2 x 300's which caught quite a few people out for some reason. Dont know if it was the pressure of the comp or the change in format but very few possibles were shot. Having said that all the scores were VERY close and once again it came down to centres and countbacks for placings.
A huge thanks has to go to all the volunteers from both the Werribee & Bacchus Marsh RCs who really make these days happen. Especially the ladies in the kitchen !! Have had nothing but positive feedback from all who attended and we intend to make it a permanent 3 day fixture now in conjunction with the Bacchus OPM and the Anzac Day Shoot including further prizes for Agg over the 3 days.
Scores will be posted shortly when all calculated but I can say that bloody Alan Fraser did it again !!! Oh well, there's always next year and he's not geting any younger you know
Main thing is a good day was had by all. Cheers Andy. D
