Speaking of chronographs - SuperChrono - acoustic!

Acoustic would seem a much better option for multiple chronograph set-ups, no screens, no barrel clamps.

Just how to read the output screen at 1000y and get parallel with the bullet trajectory, WiFi camera maybe?

Looks like it would be a nuisance if, like me, you want to record each shot's value as it happens. Four meters away & below eye level!

now the radar one is so yesterday as well as the bayo one.
where can you turn to?
you just catch up with the latest fashion, and it's out of fashion.
I should just have kept the old one that you put 2 screens in for every shot.
no light requirement or anything. and you could space the screens as wide as you liked.
ok you had to turn the dial and write down the number when the light came on, then look it up on a chart, and multiply it by a number depending on screen spacing, but it did the job.

You know the old foil on each side of cardboard and spaced out has the potential to be one of the most accurate ways still.

As long as you weren't wanting to do some group testing at the same time. I remember how one of the guys on our local SSAA range repaired those screens.

Fair comment Bruce. However, I'm not really a fan of the orange casing. I've seen a few orange rifles of late too, and it really puts me off my shooting.


I must admit that the bayo one was a great advancement for simplicity and ease of use. However, I believe it too suffers from shooter inaccuracy where projectiles have been known to take out the device

So far I haven't hit my Chrony, so I currently don't have an excuse to buy a Magnetospeed V2.

yes we tried reusing the screens with a piece of wire and 2 alligator clips.
group shooting was not done.
before that I tried to make one out of pipe and sand but it was too hard for my mental and tooling abilities.
I did shoot a chrony with a 9.3 x 64 once, and it was quite a disappointment really. it only fell backwards slowly.
the original foil screen one went to a special chronographing day once, and the first guy's first shot with a 35 whelen skidded down the board and took out both screen holders. he went first because he was sure we might kill it. that day deteriorated to a paddy melon shooting day which was quite fun, especially shooting at rolling ones.
