norm,
assuming similar pressures, 7/08ai, 7x57ai, 284, 280 Ackley, 7 saum.
the 7x57ai would be close to the 284, and the 280ack is close to the saum.
keep safe,
bruce.

Ravens and Rods rifles were 284's Chop. But good barrel life should be even better with the Ackley'ed 08 and a very interesting cartridge.

I was really keen at one stage to run one on faster powders and lighter pills for my ever shortening 7mm barrels and short range work.

It is worthy of consideration as an all rounder for sure.......another of those cases I would like to try (oooh so many though!)

Chop
My very first 284 I built in 2005 30" Krieger chambered by John Giles
This barrel I fired 1800 rounds before rechamber by G Grenfell
Then another 1500 rounds and re-chambered by P Bradshaw
The last OPM I used it and I came 2nd it has now had approx 3800 round down that barrel and more than happy to use it in competition still
This barrel diet was mostly 168Gr Berger’s and 2213SC
BTW Stew and I have the same original setup on sleeved Remy's Stew put 2000 rounds through his before he re-chambered it for the first time so its not a one example.
I’m sure the 7/08 would be probably good for 2000 - 2400 before you need to re-chamber.
