a right goose

#1 Postby whippy » Sat Nov 12, 2011 3:07 pm

definately feel like a real goose. still testing loads in my 308 in f standard. heaps of mirage today target not clear at all. so in my wisdom i thought i would reduce the scope power from 50 down to 35 halfway through the shoot, result was a 4 and then a 3 before i realised what a goose i was.

p.s this was at 400 mts. ah well, hopefully i will live and learn.

What was the scope ?
Extreme accuracy and precision shooting at long range can be a very addictive pastime.

Whippy,

I think we have all been there before. But few would admit :)

Just another note, if the target looks further away than before, put the big end of the scope towards the front of the rifle and use the smaller end for you to look through. :)

So you learn't something that day. It's always good when you learn something new.

Cheers.

As a certain shooter/coach of some (former) note will aver, you should also install the rail with the big end to the back.
