If it is a 280 just necked down the it will be pretty hard on barrels...

it would take a bigger case than the 280 Ackley necked down to achieve those ballistics without a special powder.
this would make it even harder on barrels than a 6.5/284, or even a 264 win mag which cannot do those speeds with that bullet wt in hunting length barrels.
probably more suited to small to medium game than target use.

Apparently it's a 6.5 SAUM/wsm thing....
Invented by barrel makers you'd think.

It has not been released officially until the shot show but think of a 6.5mm Blaser cartridge with 107gn H20 capacity.
