I still use it Richard but just use Hoppes on bronze brush whilst warm at the end of the day. The "up North" bit really came about by a group of 243 AI shooters who had issues with it earlier and news soon spread. This was followed by similar reports in some 6.5*284 (me included). I think this will occur anywhere you get these hot rounds hot and don't get the carbon out.

It is a beautiful powder that can give phenomenal velocity spreads but just needs to be treated a little differently....... and with TLC (sounds definitely female to me) :D
