G'day All,
Now that Norma have productised 6mm Dasher brass I'm wondering if anyone in Oz
has actually put eyes on this brass , has a reamer or maybe even some are using it?
I'm a bit of a Dasher tragic so already thinking forward to my next barrel and if it's worth
effort of buying news dies, brass etc. or just stick with 6BR brass and fire forming as usual.
Cheers,
Chris

Have a look on the 6MMBR forum, it seems to be hit and miss and only available via Bullets.com as Shiraz Biola put the money up to make it happen.

Re: Norma 6mm Dasher brass
Hi Chris,
I am a licenced 'Roo shooter operating in Queensland channel country.
I have been using both a 6mmBRDX and a 22BRDX for more than ten years now.
From my experience they are the way to go. Absolutely mind blowing awesome accuracy. 1/2" groups off the shooting bar on the door of my ute.
Head shots at 200 meters are entirely achievable on a regular basis.
Velocity is better than a 22-250.
The Norma Dasher brass is longer than the standard Dasher and can not be fire formed from standard 6BR brass.
If you go that way the brass will be harder to get and quite a lot more expensive. Not that there is anything wrong with a Norma Dasher otherwise.
You will even see standard 6BR brass for sale in used condition occasionally.
To fireform standard 6BR brass to the BRDX dimensions is dead easy to do. And it gives the longer neck than you get with the standard fireformed Dasher.
Just my two bob's worth from my hard earned experience. I have put about 4000 rounds out in the last couple of years.

Incidentally, I have reamers and head space gauges for 22BRDX, 6mmBRDX, and 30 BRDX

Wanted: 30 cal (.308) barrel blank 'Bull' profile
Looking for a near or new stainless barrel in .30 cal that I can set up with my own reamer.
If it has a action thread and is already chambered, that probably does not matter.
Prefer a bull profile. That is, one of about 1.25 inch dia. at the chamber end and the muzzle end.
Please let me know what you have and we will take it from there.

Better off holding out for Peterson Dasher brass which has just hit the market - they've taken into account dimensions for most Dasher reamers out there and it's not as thick in the neck as some of their other offerings, suggesting it's closer to Lapua brass in spec.
