308 Palma depriming problem
Newby question: my Lee die set has standard depriming pins and the flash hole on the Palma brass is much smaller....how do I get a smaller pin? Or do I have to make the flash hole bigger?

Remove the depriming rod from the die by backing off the hex shaped collet screw on top of the die then chuck the rod in a drill. Spin the rod and grind down the pin with something. I have used a diamond sharpener but a bit of emery cloth backed up with a flat ruler or file would do the same. Keep going until it fits the flash hole, should only take few minutes.

I wrap taper round the mandrel to the chuck does not damage it, then carefully put it in the drill chuck just make sure the "hat" on the end is inside the chuck and not in the bit that grips or you will crush it. Now as said above spin in the drill. I found dremel cutting discs work great side flat against the pin as it spins. Check regularly until pin is just loose and job done. Takes about ten mins.

Dremel cut off discs are brilliant when used side on but they shatter easily if too much pressure applied. Wear yer safety specs!
Don't even consider opening up the flash hole, you will ruin the benefit of the small primers on the Palma case.
