I have never tried it but I believe some people have got it to work on high sensitivity

I use a sporter version on my FX Maverick with reliable results. Due to the barrel shroud the clearance is to much. To get around this stack some neodynium magnets at front and back of bayonet to get the right clearance.
The magnets don't work on my 6BR, they are somewhere down the paddock. :) A bit much muzzle blast.
