How much have you pushed the shoulder forward?
Is 2209 performing better than 2213sc? Most folks here are using H4831sc (2231sc) in their .284's.
I far as I know, everyone here is using the 284 win or 7rsum for 1000 yards. It looks like the 7-08 on steroids is a better option.

Hi , nope , just a standard 40 deg shoulder that Pesco had .
Footsore ( Steve ) was using 2213 sc but only because that's all he could use to get it to work , I hear he has rechambered and crowned that barrel and is going to give it another go. 2209 is perfect for this caliber as 2213sc is too slow I feel to make the most of the efficiency that this case generates .
1000 yds : a Group of Se qld shooters have been coming together as good mates and doing some 1000 yd training at Belmont for fun . So in that group we have Saums , sheehanes and 284's and then there's me ! Lol! Nigel no mates
. Between the 284 and the 08 Ai they are nearly the same or very close . Saum like I said is about 1/2 to 3/4 Moa in drift . But nothing will save u from bad wind reading or a quick drop off or velocity change !
My opinion and its early days with just 1 session of 1000 yds under my belt . But with a highly tuned gun and a master wind reader behind the butt , the lil 7-08ai can mix it with its big brothers and From 300 yds out to the ton! Time will tell but after the weekend I'm feeling a little better with my gamble !
