RIP Bruce Moulds

Post by RAVEN »

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of a good mate, mentor and F-Class legend.

Bruce was one of the original forum members and loved to debate equipment and politics.
He will be sadly missed!

That's very sad. He will definitely be missed on the forum. Member number 7 and 2900 posts, extremely loyal to F-Class at the expense of most other disciplines (except black powder of course :D !). Farewell Bruce.

RIP Bruce. A good friend gone, I will miss the chats on all things shooting especially big bores and doubles. What can one say. "Such is life". Regards Malcolm.

I’ve known Bruce my entire life. My father can remember when he was born.

He is responsible for introducing me to F Class.

Back in the 70’s when I was a little boy, I was lucky to spend many nights crawling around the hills face zone with Bruce, in his short wheel base Land Rover shooting foxes with his .17

Every time he got a new gun, 44 mag revolver, 357, 358 lever action, SLR ( you name it, he’s had it ) he’d come over and shoot it at our place.

He knew a vast amount about all firearms, and reloading, through his own enormous experience, and by reading.

He was very well read, not only shooting, but History - Books, and the internet, which he searched compulsively.

He was also a real horseman. When he was on horseback he really looked the part. He had, trained and competed with quarter horses for many years.

Bruce was a real deep thinker, loyal, conscientious, and had a wicked sense of humour.

He was a great mate, and I will miss him terribly.

No more long phone calls with Bruce.

Vale Bruce

I don't think myself and Bruce ever agreed on a single issue or topic how however he kept the forum vibrant and in a strange way I will miss him giving my posts an absolute blasting. I would often count the hours until I got the notification that Bruce had replied and would with some intrepidation logon to find out why exactly I was wrong and how nothing beats black powder and a round ball. His input and knowledge will be sadly missed.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Bruce, he was never backward about going forward. Not afraid to put his point in on discussions on this forum. I remember he got banned for a while but came back still firing.

Rest In Peace Bruce, another shooter gone too soon.

Cheers
