Is anyone genuinely in the know regarding what is going on at Silverdale? Its been closed a very long time, and last announcement I"m aware of on the subject was : We are pleased to provide an update on the commencement of works at Silverdale Rifle Range. After what has been a difficult past few months, contractors have today arrived onsite to prepare for works to start on Thursday 11th August. It is anticipated that works will take approximately 3 weeks to complete, however this will be largely dependent on the weather. We will provide further updates whilst work is underway with details of a reopening date to be provided shortly.
We cannot wait to welcome you back to the range very soon."
It's hard not to consider worst case scenario as the weeks after closure turn into (many) months. Silverdale is such a wonderful resource, I'd sure like to think that a call to arms would precede any further delays to opening, or worst.
