I have an OmarK Model 44 with original Omark trigger. I've tried to adjust the trigger pressure but can't get it below 1 kg and still pass a cycle test. There's a post here (Josh Cox) that mentions replacing the trigger pressure spring with a lighter spring but I'm not sure what to replace it with

As an alternative, I've had club members suggest a Davies Trigger but do they swap straight in or is extra work (gunsmith) required? (and how likely am I to find one?)
Or are there other triggers that would be suitable to use in my Omark that would swap straight in?
Thanks
Laurie

Re: Omark Model 44 Trigger
I fitted a Jewell to my Omark about 20 years ago. The factory trigger was a POS and despite fixing slop in the pins and polishing surfaces it was very inconsistent in weight shot to shot.
Being a R700 type trigger the Jewell fitted with no issue. I did have to adjust (grind and reharden) the striker engagement a tad.
Before the Jewell I actually had a Shilen 2oz BR trigger fitted for a while. 2oz was far too light and would fail the slam test plus the rules here (NZ) changed and prevented the use of such a light trigger.
