Re: Login
Hahndorf 1874, you might refer to your previous post about "Login", I've had no issues so it's possibly a browser update that has caused it.
MattyG, not sure why you would be getting that error, although the page requested in the url isn't the login page and doesn't exist on the server. Possibly a deleted post you had bookmarked.
As a heads up, I am currently in the process of preparing for a software upgrade and some changes to the site and possibly a move to a new server.
Some will have noticed the site being down and not responding for few days a couple of weeks back, this was caused by an "attack" on the site by an invasive "search bot" hammering us with thousands of requests every few seconds. This caused the server to run out of resources and basically shut down. Hence the possible move to a new server with more resources that will be dedicated to only this site, but it all depends on monthly cost.
Cheers,
Graham

Keith,
Yep, I'm aware the likes stopped working, also had to disable the Events display, I think I might need to expedite the upgrades and server transfer.

Re: Login
Yep! I did notice that the site was struggling and not responding some of the time a few weeks ago and I have not been here since then...
Haven't as yet had problems signing in but of course you DO have to sign in if you want to interact with the forum and see any of the posted pictures.
Just noticed that the "Thumbs Up" is not working....

Re: Login
Okay guys,
Forum has been updated, should be no more login issues.
Also, the "Likes" are working again and the "Upcoming Events" are working again but they will display above the Footer for the time being until I get time to make some style changes and get them to show below the top Menu Bar.
No changes to the layout, everything is where it was before, mainly just style/colour changes and a lighter, less "graphic intense" design.
Please let me know if you come across any issues, I will be making minor tweaks of the next few weeks.
Happy to take feedback on the new look also, so feel free to post or PM what you think.
Cheers

Re: Login
Interesting now with the pale green motif, I am not sure about what others are complaining about as I have always had to sign in when visiting the site to get full use of it...
Glad to hear that some of the bugs that have plagued the site in regards to "Like" and other items are being remedied.
Anything related to shooting are having their sites impacted by the "Bad Guys" and fraud being the motive in most cases but also just general disruption...
