What cleaning rods are the best to use. I have a .223 Savage with a 26" barrel. Since I put this in a B&C stock the handle of the rod now hits the cheek piece and bends the rod up. To clear this I'll need a rod no shorter than 47" but 48" would be better. I have Boretech and Pro-Shot rods for other calibres.

Deweys are good. Pro Shots are good. I prefer full diameter metal rather than coated, but you'll find arguments each way.
With that length of rod (particularly with bare stainless), a really good rod guide that is just over rod diameter at the butt end would give me a lot of confidence. I use Dewey guides which a shooting friend has machined Delrin caps to fit, one for each of my rods.
