but bat, they don't have the problem your bat had. is yours a 3lug? if so you might just as well have got a barnard.
alan, they do have steel. where you need it, and nowhere else.

no but i havnt had my trigger hanger fall off mid shoot eigther.

any custom action is good but whatever blows you hair back i suppose! they all have their strengths and weaknesses

no mine is a 2 lug. easyer bolt lift than a 3 lug. stewy is getting a 3 lug i think. should be a very nice action.

Yes they are necked down from 300. I did build them to jam by .005" and I am starting to think that was not enough and they are just moving forward very slightly. I have re loaded them with CCI LR instead of the harder BR and built them .010" longer. All I can do now is wait until Wednesday and see if they go bang.

Talk about cutting it fine!

are you using berger 180gr VLD ovenpaa? they have a very shallow sectant ogive and .010" jam isnt much of a mechanical engagement . . .if you know what i mean??

bat,
he'll regret a 3lug in the beginning, then curse it 'till the day he dies.
on the bright side, at least it will be better than a 4 lug.

Bruce,

I've got another Barnard coming. Have decided to get one lug ground off. If it improves it, I'll remove another.

bat,
i spoke to stuart today. you are right.
he is going to do it to himself (more than 2 lug) as opposed to for himself (2 lug)
bat action
bruce.
p.s. he had some ammo at port augusta that would barely go into a rem 700. looks like a fls die purchase coming up.
