Scope sunshades...

Post by M12LRPV »

Am I the only one not using one?

To be honest i've never seen any difference optically between using it and not using it so i've never bothered but it seems that every shooter that has a shade uses it.

Some seem to go one step further and screw sunshades onto sunshades.

So am I missing something by not using one?

Many of us shooting match rifle stopped using them when we found that you can get enough sail effect off a good breeze to move the scope's zero. A moderate mirage tube seems to be safer.
