100.8 at 1100 metres
Not sure how they score Match Rifle, as it is such a long way from the target. If you get a hit does that count 
Does the score of 100 mean you were shooting Bull eye's at 1100 to get the score of 100, or did you mean 120 with 6's for each Centre?
Also, how does the target size compare to what we are using at 1000 yards.
It would be good to know, as some of us other shooters may give it a go too.

Philip shot Match Rifle Open Class (Scoped rifle, prone, hand held/rested, .308cal).
The target is a 800mtr target shot at all ranges ( 900-1000-1100mts)
Scoring is the same as T/R ( V,5,4,3,etc)
A magnificent effort that is to be rewarded.
Long Range F-Class is another category and is scored (6,5,4,3etc) and is shot in both .308 Class and Open Classes.
Other winners in the other grades were;
Match Reserve: G Dyson.
Target Rifle: G Harrison.
F-Match Rifle (.308): E Kanik
F-Open: N Osborne.
Congratulations all.
The Victorian Championship is coming up on the 5th-6th of November at Stawell.
Next club shoot at Lower Light will be 4th December.

what is a queens?
first and foremost it is a sense of cameraderie like nowhere else. we are all trying to beat each other and share that as friends, looking forward to the next one.
second it is a collection of personal victories.
like when mark heyward shot a 6, took off 9 minutes, and then shot a 5.
or when lynn & trev otto's 10 year old grandson worked out he was one turn out on his wind and solved the problem on his own.
and stuart braund placing one point behind the winner having shot in much worse conditions.
rob halloren won std a, but had to do it the hard way calling on all his experience in the wind in quite trying conditions.
numbers of first time queens shooters have many personal victories, some of which they will only recognise in years to come.
another not so small triumph was lynn otto being there at all after major and ongoing health issues.
these are a few of the things that make a queens.

I agree whole heartedly Bruce.
The Queens is a time when you can catch up with friends you have made, compete against them and still come out smiling at the end of the day.
I would ilke to thank Richard Braund for the effort he has put into gathering sponsorship for the Queens and although I did not win one, what a great effort he put into making the F Class Trophies.
They are truly unique and the winners should be proud to have recieved them, Well done Richard.
The road to Lower Light might be dusty or muddy. The wind may be left or right or none at all, but at the end of the day there is plenty of good cheer, cold beer and great food.

those trophies are unique. those who received one are fortunate indeed.
the road might be wet or dry, but it is not too bad really. if that is a big problem to someone, they don't have enough to worry about. hell, it leads to a rifle range!
i think we were already planning our campaines for next year on tuesday.
