Hornady 105gn BTHP match

Post by Norm »

Anyone have any experience with this projectile?
I had a look at them today and compared them against a 105gn Berger VLD.
They are a similar length bullet but with a different shapped Ogive. Could be a cheaper alternative to the Berger maybe?

Have tried the 162 grn 7mm and they went very well. Would also be interested to hear from anyone who has used the 6mm version.

Had some of the new Hornady 6mm 105g Match projectiles turn up this week, as soon as weather permits I will go test, has any one else shot these yet ?, they measure good and are bigger in OD than Nosler, they are also pointed and look very uniform, Chop.

Started to load up today Norm and was going to go testing today, but the pojectiles seated back into the case too far for my liking, I have a 125 tho freebore but it seems these need another 60 tho or more, not to worry nothing a throating reamer job wont fix , catch ya later, Chop.

Any updates on these? I,m hoping to try some in my new 6BR when I get it this week. Does anyone know if they prefer jumping or jamming usually?
