For what its worth, I put my sightron target scope off my 308 onto the 260 the other day and shot that. Then took the weaver V 6-24x42 varmint scope from the 223 onto the 308, used the two sighters to zero it for 500m after a quick bore sight and shot a 60.3 and wasnt changing the point of aim to get more x's. All shots were at 5 oclock between the x and 6 ring. Awesome group.

I wont be buying a march until hell freezes over, I win lotto, or Australia wins two consecutive Ashes series. Ok ok I would if I had the coin. But honestly its just not in my price range so lotto would be a big help. Hell can freezer over I dont care and first thing on the shopping list after we win two consecutive ashes series will be a beer.

Til then I think there are plenty of shoots left to be won with my sightron.

G'day Brad, I started this post. Can I say, I do not have anything against Sightron scopes, I think they are fantastic, I have 4 of them or 5 if I count the one my son has laid his hands on.

The 10-50 secured 1st place in FA at the Bacchus Marsh PM on Saturday, also the Marathon and the S/W Championship in Warrnambool over Xmas/New Year.

Its just that I have some gear I don't need, so here comes a March, God bless the Gun Fairy.

And no I have not won Tatts, accessed my super etc.

Cheers

The main reason I bought a March was to hopefully have fully reliable tracking and ability to hold point of aim from shot to shot.

The ed glass is excellent and so it should be. As others have said scopes are a personal thing, but if their tracking and ability to hold point of aim from shot to shot is suspect it will not matter what the optics are like.

Well done Danny, although I don't believe the Sightron would have affected the result. I shot at Bacchus Marsh in tough conditions one year and held my mouth wrong. You obviously didn't :D !

I know what you are saying Alan, it's still the nut behind the butt, but every little bit may help. Plus a bit of luck.

I must confess that I have yet to use a scope with too much power - not enough elevation or windage maybe, but I use all my scopes on max power all the time.

G'day All,
I bought a March 40x52 for my SR BR rifle after the brand and model scope I was using, several of them failed some top tier BR shooters all in the same year. My scope had not the hard use of the others but confidence is a big thing. I couldn't trust it and after buying the March I did begin to shoot smaller aggregate scores.
In SR BR I'd say the March in KING, however, I cannot see ANY advantage in FO and still use my NF 12-42BR with absolute confidence.
I'd rather buy more barrels, better bullets and practice before another scope.
All FWIW of course.

danny,
we'll know it's time when the gun fairy scratches his nuts, spits, farts, and dribbles.
keep safe,

Bruce, he is starting to scratch a bit, getting lower all the time, the odd little bit dribble, strange aromas, seeping around the man cave. Things could be getting interesting

danny,
the gun fairy has a latin motto.
"mi scrotus itche maximus"
this could be a good pimping sticker for a gun.
keep safe,
bruce.
