Marked obsolete in 1929.
HaHa, must have been trying them in the sister barrel to the last one I bought.

Didn't stop them using boat tails though. The Mark VIIIz was approved in the late 1930s: http://militarycartridges.nl/uk/british ... viiiz2.jpg

Somewhere (unless January 2011 buggered me up) I have a box of late manufacture Czeck Mark VIIIZ.
